A book about the hard core of graffiti writers, by Henny Overbeek and HOTEL. 14 writers show one photo each and tell the story behind it. The book presentation is May 29th from 20:30 at W139 in Amsterdam. Besides videos, music and drinks there are lectures from writers and artists NOV (NYC) and NUG (Stockholm). Concern about the increasing use of identity based electronic information systems and the frequent use of surveillance cameras is one of the impulses for Desiree Palmen to create her work, which uses camouflage, as it's main focus. In photo works, videos and site-specific actions, she explores the possibilities of letting people 'dissolve' into their surroundings or to let them disapaer against the background.

SpY is an artist from Madrid. His first actions appeared in the middle eighties. Shortly after, already a national reference as a graffiti artist, he started to work with other forms of artistic communication in the street: large posters, modified billboards, interventions that were experimental in the first nineties.
